Counselling tends to be short term work which usually focuses on particular issues or problem solving. I will work with you in helping you explore and understand the issues you have brought to counselling. This process will enable you to make the necessary changes in your life which will facilitate personal growth and development and in turn will lead to increased confidence and a more positive sense of self.

Psychotherapy on the other hand tends to be longer term work which involves a much more in-depth process in exploring your past and examining how it influences your present day life. I will work with you in a safe, non-judgemental and respectful way as we explore together and help you understand your inner world, your personal experiences, the way you have of dealing with yourself, with others, and the world around you. In doing this I will utilise my expertise, my knowledge and skills in helping to bring to your awareness the links between your historic past and your present day experiences.
